CHRISTA FORNAROTTO

Christa Fornarotto currently serves as the Acting Assistant Secretary for Aviation and International Affairs for the U.S. Department of Transportation. In this capacity, Ms. Fornarotto serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary on a broad portfolio of responsibilities covering domestic and international aviation, international trade, and a range of other international cooperation and facilitation issues.

Prior to joining the Office of the Secretary, Ms. Fornarotto served as the legislative director to Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) and was professional staff on the House Aviation Subcommittee. She managed the legislative agenda for the Congressman, oversaw the legislative staff, and advised the Congressman on legislative issues. In addition, she handled responsibilities related to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, where Mr. Costello is the Chairman of the Aviation Subcommittee.

Ms. Fornarotto received her B.A. in Government and Sociology from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA and her Masters of Public Policy from the George Washington University.
